Introduction:
Hi ,
This is a very informal meeting.
I will just start with WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO HERE? What is all this? In summary...as this is all participatory i.e. we all will direct where, what we are going to do .
For some of us here, this a little like a reunion . Regroup the old FiRST SANUR MOVEMENT (There is BandesaAnomBuana, Pedanda, …Mr.Kiana, P.Tjentanaputra, Udiana., …Koperasi, Banjar, Gus Putra.Made Mangku., Gus Krobo, and many more.). It is actually like a nostalgia of our FIRST SANUR MOVEMENT that we did 9- 12 years ago (Wow so long ago).
The purpose of this Informal Gathering is basically following up suggestions of old friends to ReDo this “Sanur Movement” activity again. A new way, a better way, …better times, in a better political situation.
We are here basically to figure out together/ participatory way on the following matters: What is our idea , as people living in Sanur (or care of Sanur), of what Sanur should look like/ or be like? What can we suggest to make Sanur a better place to live ? …and hope we can make a difference?
The First SANUR MOVEMENT , maybe you can see a little bit the idea from the materials we hang on that wall. Activities done then were dealing with the garbage (Recycling/ Compostin/ urban gardening), Then we had a Newsletter the KulKul. Also we did a survey. We developed the pantaimatahariterbit… Make a Compost Station. Urban Gardening. the beach, the building of the diserted beach PMT zone, and we were even trying to set a “urban forest” thru Hyatt, ,dogs, schools program, jukung clean the ocean. Having a repairBengkel/ for the Jukung group. Other ideas that we never came about was making PasarSenggol a nicer /cleaner place.And the bicycle paths/ Sanur Bike City.There was Sanurnewsletters,student volunteers in designs, including from Japan, Germany , etc.
Now, we are regrouping here, maybe doing this better (from experience) . One is linking much closer to the Government (City, and Central Government) to go “ACTION ORIENTED “ and easier to go beyond “Meeting only” but how about the Action?
So far a small Main Task Force (Dapur still at PPLH) has been set together and the general strategy set out. To the initial start up (Catur,Suar, Koman, Sukamara, dll). So far PU Wherdapura is helping us with this space, also they are preparing for some Stimulus Funding and maybe a space for our Secretariat somewhere in this building?).
Part of a Larger strategy:
We are not alone: This is part of a larger strategi discussed with several Community Leaders in Sanur: Noted P. GusDe (Head of YPS/ Yayasan Pembangunan Sanur, The City Government, Bandesa, Pedanda was also part of the previous Sanur Movement).
This meetings is more the Expat inputs, there will be group (Catur) who will do the same with the Banjar, P. Sukamara/ P. Hendry will do this with the Government/ Central Government lobby. Gus/ Komang will go face to face/ door to door or personal interviews to anyone that can’t joint the meeting , but we think is strategic.
Actions
One of the main TOOLS , we think, is a “MAP” , a GUIDING TOOL to jot our aspiration, issues, conflicts and direction of what we think where SANUR WILL GO. This will be done in to an “LIVING ECO SANUR VILLAGE MAP” (exactly how this will look like, we all can discuss). This will be done by Sarita . Kadek, Trisna. Old Community Young Leaders long time ago doing “CLEAN BEACH”. With this MAP as a tool, we can go forward to meet the Government, making proposals to different places and Do IT.
We will be breaking this Meeting into three Main Sessions for now: (Draw /Write on the Board).
Session one is Introduction : What is all this? What are we doing here? What do want to go? Or do? ALREADY DONE.
Session two (MAIN SESSION): introduction of ourselves? (Time?) Inputs/ Brainstorming / Discussions and maybe filling/ jotting down in this MATRIX… that can grow.
Session three: What next? Action oriented: Making Group Committees. What can we do together?
the near future?THE MAIN SESSION : Introduction of each other? (Ok, if 15-25 people? ) Often too long if too many people, so we ll skip this if more than 20 people and maybe go by Listing/ mailing list etc. in Front and will be districuted again). Intro what we will do (Draw the Matrix:What UnekUnek, What Solutions/Idea, Start Up, Who we think we can invite in next meeting?).
Samples: Whatever it is: Some might be concerned on the GARBAGE issue, (the burning of garbage and uuugh the smoke), the Traffic, or the parking that makes the traffic a problem, safety, unfriendly Side walks, the dirty Bearch ? and so on. Some were thinking to close the whole Tamblingan street! Some thinking of small interlinking Bicycle (doing “Sanur as a Bike City/ Neighborhood”?), Path ways strengtehenPedestrianization, Renovate PasarSenggool, having more dual organic/non organic garbage cans/bins?, Beefing up the Recycling Program : PPLH and of course WISNU has been going quite far with Pick Up Service.
What will we do with this?
As mentioned before, we will combine these inputs together with the other Stake Holders, especially the DESA ADAT, the Government, the NGO’s to make a total plan of action… expressed into an “ECO MAP”.And make a collective consensus and DO SOMETHING, making all these effort “action oriented”.
To this, Sarita is thinking to make an “action oriented MAP”? Whatever this is , we can all think about? An ECO SANURVILLAGE MAP? as a mean to this “Action Oriented” program. It can maybe become a mix “Sanur Tourist Map”, Sanur Master Plan Map, Conflict Resolution Map, Bicyle Trail Map. ..Jogging spots, etc.
Maybe jotting:
Zoning, especially in guarding the GREEN BELTS (that is slowly disappearing).
Ideas of special spots (Made Wijaya)
Jott anything ECO Friendly (Business, and Cultural spots, Organic Café, Pasar, Shops).
Bicycle Trails and what to see by Bike (the Pura, museums, the bearch, the sawah), all relating to Bicycle (Repair shops, parking …)
What action Plan map?

Listing the Working Committee, Name, Phone, from, interest, what can support, internet. Fitting to what Committee.

The “Next Meeting” Committee will be formed: Dale, Kathy, James, Inna, Komang.
For interest parties to think what interest do they want to focus on.
The current secretariat will write up a “history brieft”.
